Maxi-alliance in the energy storage sector between Fiee Sgr and Castello Sgr. According to MF-Milano Finanza, the two operators have launched Fiee Storage Platform Powered by Entracap, a new infrastructure platform dedicated to the development, construction and management of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) utility-scale plants in Italy.
The initiative starts with an initial investment plan of €150 million and aims to create a leading independent national operator in one of the fastest-growing segments of the energy market.
The deal stems from a partnership between FIEE Energy Transition III – FIEE’s third fund, launched in 2025 with a budget of around 300 million euros – and the Energy Transition Capital Fund, a fund dedicated to the energy transition managed by Castello Sgr. The platform will also be supported by Energy Transition Capital (Entracap), the fund’s sponsor and advisory firm, which will provide industrial, technical and operational expertise gained in the energy storage sector.
