PLT energia Srl is a holding company which, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the development, construction and operation of wind, photovoltaic and biomass plants as well as the sale of electricity and gas. In 2021, PLT produced around 470 GWh of clean energy from its 44 wind farms, avoiding the emission of more than 220,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere and meeting the energy needs of around 210,000 households.

In December 2022, the investee PLT Energia was fully sold to Eni Plenitude for a total price of € 900 million. The FIEE I and IEEF II funds sold their respective stakes.

The transaction generated high returns for both funds.
